The Last Message is born from a powerful idea: to offer people a safe, authentic, and human space where they can record and preserve messages to leave for their loved ones. It's an ambitious project, as delicate as it is profound, and we were involved from the very beginning in building the identity and the overall experience. Our objective was simple: to transform an emotional vision into a tangible platform—beautiful to use, easy to understand, and built to stand the test of time.
We started from scratch: from naming to tone of voice, through to logo design and the entire visual system. We defined a warm, intimate, contemporary identity that inspires trust and conveys the proper delicacy when dealing with memory and connections. The UI reflects these values with soft colour palettes, readable typography and components with a "human" feel. Every element—animations, micro-interactions, layout—has been designed to never overshadow the content but to support it with respect and consistency.
The app has been designed with both the emotional and practical needs of the user in mind: creating a message, deciding who to send it to, and choosing when and how it will be delivered. We introduced clear and intuitive flows for recording video and audio, organising messages in personal or shared archives, and easily managing your own timeline of content. The structure is designed to ensure immediacy and control, with great attention given to privacy management, consent, and data security.
We worked alongside the The Last Message team at every stage of the project: concept, design, development, and release of the app on iOS and Android. The product was built with modern technologies and scalable architectures to ensure performance, reliability, and the potential for evolution.
