Urbis Teller is the app that turns a city visit into a performance to listen to. It blends theatre, guided storytelling and music into immersive audio guides that lead visitors along historical and cultural routes, stop by stop, across different cities.
The goal was to design and build from scratch a mobile app for iOS and Android that would make discovering routes engaging and interactive, together with a back office to manage its content: 👉 UX/UI: an intuitive experience designed for people exploring the city on foot, with an appealing, easy-to-use interface 👉 Proximity audio: the audio tracks for each stop had to start automatically as the visitor physically approaches, with no need to touch the screen 👉 Private routes: institutions and operators had to be able to offer exclusive routes, unlocked with a code provided when purchasing the service 👉 Development of a robust, scalable app, backed by a web back office for the internal team
We began with research and requirements analysis, then moved on to wireframes and mockups of the key screens. We built a complete design system in Figma and tested usability with interactive prototypes, gathering feedback before development began.
In the app, routes are organised by city. Each one has a cover image, description, estimated duration and a map showing the user’s GPS position along the route. Every route is divided into points of interest, each with a name, description, photo and audio track.
The heart of the experience is geolocated autoplay: when visitors reach a stop, the scene starts on its own and the story carries on as they walk, phone in pocket. With an unlock code, institutions and operators can also offer private routes to their customers.
On the back end, we designed the database, developed RESTful APIs to connect it with the app, implemented a secure authentication system and configured permissions and access levels. Through the web back office, the internal team manages routes and stops independently. Finally, the cross-platform front end was tested and optimised for a wide range of devices and screen resolutions.
Urbis Teller takes theatre to the streets: an app that knows where visitors are and tells them about the city at just the right moment. It is also a scalable tool, ready to welcome new cities and new routes, and a way to partner with cultural institutions and operators through private routes.

We are among the top User Experience and digital product agencies on Clutch, the leading global database for digital consulting.
We start with an in‑depth needs analysis, considering product and business objectives in the medium to long term. We often begin with visual identity: we assess positioning, analyze competitors, and identify opportunities to improve brand and image. We then move to UX/UI: we conduct a professional UX Review to identify areas for intervention and improve the usability of the site or app. We design the User Journey Map, mapping all touchpoints to understand real use cases and where to create tangible value. We create wireframes and share an interactive prototype that defines the functionality, structure, and interactions of each page. Once the wireframes are consolidated, we refine the interface design in detail to ensure a pleasant and consistent experience. Finally, our developers implement the product with modern technologies such as React, Flutter, Symfony, Svelte, Node.js, and more, ensuring quality, stability, and pixel‑perfect results.
Yes, on two fronts. Inside our own method, where it helps designers explore and compare several directions in hours instead of days, and helps engineers accelerate repetitive phases and raise quality with broader review and testing.
And inside the products we build for our clients: document and file analysis, predictive models, understanding of unstructured text, semantic search, assistants and automations.
For us it is a multiplier, not a shortcut: people stay in the loop and every AI feature has a success metric defined before it is written. Read how we use AI.
